Lunchtime learning session - Effective Poster Presentations

Dr. Unni came today and shared many ideas with us. In particular, she helped us to understand why we should be interested in doing a poster, and how we can get started. It was very motivational and relevant. Thank you Dr. Unni! She has graciously allowed me to archive her slideshow presentation here (see the end of this post).

In addition, click here to see the excel spreadsheet that Dr. Unni made.
It contains the following information:

Faculty name
Primary specialty
Secondary specialty
Other notes about the individual

Hopefully you will know who to contact about your specific interests.

Lunchtime learning session - An Introduction to Residencies 2010

Dr. Elizabeth Sebranek Evans volunteered her time today and shared her expertise. I hope you had the chance to attend! She answered many questions, and gave us several ideas about how to be more competitive. The information was so valuable that I asked her if I could post the presentation slides and ACCP article here. They are posted below in original format as a google document. As always, she is available by email or in person if you need to get more advice or help (her email is esebranek@usn.edu). Remember that the slide show has the contact information for various residency preceptors! Scroll down to the "Faculty Resources" slides to see who they are, where they work, and what they precept. Now don't you feel a little more empowered?

Click here to view the ACCP article through google docs (google may require you to log in once you click).
